Mental Health Studies Learning Environment

Students studying the Applied Mental Health courses will study exclusively within our user-friendly online learning environment “myHETI”.

Students studying Psychiatric Medicine courses have the choice of studying on campus, online or a combination of modalities.

On campus

Finding us

Our campus is located at North Parramatta within the grounds of historic Cumberland Hospital on the Parramatta river. A car park and public transport options are available. For more information on getting to campus please see contact us, which contains maps and directions.


A number of facilities are available to students at North Parramatta campus including:

  • Meeting rooms for individual study, group collaborations or visitor meetings. To book a room please contact us.
  • A tearoom and kitchen with seating. Tea, coffee and water are provided.
  • A courtyard and garden open for all students to relax, study, or enjoy their lunch.
  • Local shops and businesses in Parramatta are within walking distance of the campus or accessible via the free Parramatta shuttle bus, which has a stop located near campus on outside Parramatta Leagues Club.


The library at the North Parramatta campus supports the teaching, learning and research needs of students and staff. The library contains a range of physical and online resources in mental health and is closely linked to the nearby Mental Health Library at Cumberland Hospital.
