At HETI Higher Education we understand that unexpected events can happen and students may experience distress related to personal or difficult events. We would like to support you early in the process to reduce stress at a difficult time.
All assessment task extensions and requests for special consideration need to be submitted via the Student Details & Request Tab in myHETIconnect
All notifications/outcomes of assessment extensions and requests for special consideration will be managed through myHETIconnect. Please contact your Cohort Convenor if you have not had a response within 2-3 business days.
For assessment task extensions of less than 7 days, no supporting documentation is needed but you will need to provide a short rationale for this request.
It is important that you apply before your assessment due date otherwise a late penalty will apply.
If your studies are affected by an unexpected event or misadventure for more than one week, you can apply for special consideration.
For requests for special consideration, you will need to attach evidence supporting your special consideration request, such as a medical certificate or Statutory Declaration.
Certification of some forms of supporting documentation may be required. Additional information on certification is available here.
