Pre-Requisite: Core Therapeutic Skills (8ALF006)

This unit will provide an introduction to the common elements of successful therapy across different schools of thought. The participant will follow a case study through the core elements of structured therapy using Cognitive Behavior Therapy as an exemplar.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the unit, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of the core principles of structured therapies;
  2. Examine the perspective of an individual undertaking a structured therapy in a specific life stage/health setting.
