Building on the knowledge and skills developed in 8ALF013 this unit will equip students to critically evaluate a research plan. You will develop an understanding of key elements of the research process from initial ideas through research design, methodology, data analysis and dissemination of findings. Principles and guidelines that govern the conduct of human research will also be considered.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the unit, students will be able to:

  1. Critique a plan relevant to mental health which explains the rationale for a recovery-oriented project and its design, considers ethical implications, and outlines plans for implementation, data analysis and dissemination of findings.
