Dr McKay has worked for over 30 years in culturally diverse areas as a clinician, clinical leader, teacher, and policy advisor. Roles with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists have included General Council member, Faculty of Psychiatry of Old Age bi-national chair and Community Collaboration Committee chair. He is past chair of the National Mental Health Information Development Expert Advisory Group. Dr McKay actively publishes and presents at national and international conferences with a focus on improvement of clinical practice and leadership. He is an adjunct Associate Professor with the University of Notre Dame, Sydney and adjunct senior lecturer with the University of NSW.
