The focus of this unit is on the development of core skills in relationship-based therapies and practices in perinatal & infant mental health. Service delivery will be considered in the context of a recovery, strengths-based and family-focused approach.


Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the unit, students will be able to:

  1. Critically appraise a range of attachment-based approaches to intervention;
  2. Apply principles of attachment-based intervention to clinical practice;
  3. Describe the principles and application of psychoeducation and health promotion; and
  4. Evaluate the increased popularity of complementary and alternative interventions.
