Supporting a person with mental ill health is very difficult without an understanding of the systems and services that may support that person. In this unit you will be introduced to the key components of mental healthcare in Australia including different clinical services, professions, community managed organisations, disability supports and advocacy organisations. In the context of the lifespan, you will explore their roles, and how strategic directions are established and negotiated.
