This unit employs a recovery focused framework for working with children, young people and their families. This unit will develop student knowledge and understanding of the theory and practice relevant to children and young people presenting with anxiety, depression, trauma, psychosis, neurodevelopmental disorders and other presentations commonly seen in child and youth mental health settings. This unit will provide students with the opportunity to enhance their skills as well as to critically appraise contemporary approaches to working in child and youth mental health.
