Enhance Nursing Practice

Nurses - representing the largest workforce group within the Health system – are increasingly needing to work in diverse settings and roles, and HETI Higher Education provides practice specialisation across perinatal and infant; child and youth; adult; and older persons mental health.

Our courses are tailored to meet the needs of busy professionals by offering flexible online delivery that accommodates the reality of shift work and can support the essential balancing of home, work and study. It can assist those who are working in remote locations to join communities of practice that have a shared commitment to improving mental health care.

During October 2018, Clinical Nurse Consultant Gemma Morris will attend the 44th International Mental Health Nursing Conference in Cairns, showcasing HETI higher education courses and their application to nursing practice. Gemma graduated from an earlier course offered by the NSW Institute of Psychiatry in 2016, and has continued to collaborate with HETI mental health portfolio to create training programs and video resources.
