Support network

As a student of HETI Higher Education, our aim is to support you as best as possible in your studies. We have a team of experienced and friendly staff to assist you in various areas of need.
Your first point of contact for any enquiries or assistance is usually the Education Support Officer (ESO). The ESO supporting your unit will:

  • Advise you on enrolment and academic policy queries.
  • Assist you with resources and access to e-learning technologies.
  • Refer you to academic or IT staff where required.

Throughout your course, you will engage substantially with your Professional or Specialisation Lead whose role is to:

  • Be a mentor and provide guidance in the professional or specialisation focus.
  • Manage and coordinate the course pathway.
  • Provide academic oversight for the course.
  • Ensure all requirements for successful course completion are met.

Each Unit will also have a Unit Coordinator. In some instances, the Unit Coordinator may also be the Professional or Specialisation Lead. The Unit Coordinator will:

  • Manage and coordinate individual units.
  • Interact with students via e-learning technologies.
  • Provide academic oversight for the unit.
  • Ensure all requirements for successful unit completion are met.

HETI Higher Education has invested significantly in information systems and technology. In addition, the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) team are here to support staff and students with their individual needs in this area. ICT Officers prioritise student needs and will in most instances respond within 24 hours. They will:

  • Provide technical support for students in the use of learning resources and e-learning technologies such as MyHETI, our Learning Management System.

HETI Higher Education operates a library for the benefit of students and staff in their research needs. The Librarian is available to:

  • Provide help and training via telephone, email or in person.
  • Assist students in finding information to support their coursework.

HETI is committed to ensuring that our students understand their financial obligations and are not disadvantaged in their studies by financial considerations. The HETI Higher Education Financial Services team can be contacted to:

  • Provide clarification of fees, payments, scholarship financial arrangements and student financial information.
  • Negotiate payment plans if required.

Contact details for team members within the support network are available on the Key Contacts page.
