Student progression

Student grades are verified following the release of results at the end of each semester to determine whether progress in your studies is satisfactory.

If you do not meet progression requirements or are identified as ‘at risk’, you will receive a written communication from the Framework Coordinator explaining why you have been identified as being at risk, and what steps you can take to improve your academic performance.

Further information regarding progression is detailed below:

What is progression?

After enrolment, you must pass the required units to progress through to graduation. Progression identifies poor academic performance while giving you an opportunity to address your performance and seek advice on your options.

What is the progression policy for HETI Higher Education?

Please refer to the Progression and Unsatisfactory Academic Progress Policy for further information.

How will I be notified if I am deemed ‘at risk’?

If you do not meet progression requirements or are identified as ‘at risk’, you will receive a written communication from the Framework Coordinator explaining why you have been identified as being at risk, and what steps you can take to improve your academic performance. The Framework Coordinator will then develop a risk management plan with you and monitor progress against the stated goals.

How do I appeal a progression notice?

You have the right to lodge a written appeal against your progression status prior to the due date. Ensure that you have read the Progression and Unsatisfactory Academic Progress Policy and clearly outline the grounds for your appeal.

I still need help - who can I contact?

If you have any questions about your grades or would like advice, please contact your Framework Coordinator. HETI offers a range of student support services which are detailed in the Student Support section.
