Scholarships offered by NSW Health (Nursing and Midwifery Office)


Postgraduate Scholarships of up to $8,000 are available through the Nursing and Midwifery Office to registered nurses and midwives who are working in full or part-time permanent positions in the NSW public health system.

Additional Postgraduate Scholarships of up to $15,000 are available in 2018 to Aboriginal people ​currently working as registered nurses or registered midwives in the NSW public health system.

2019 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Scholarship

Scholarships up to the value of $6810.00 each will be administered and delivered by HETI to NSW Health professionals and managers who provide mental health services for infants, children, young people and their families. These scholarships have been funded by MH-Children and Young People (MH-CYP), NSW Ministry of Health. 

Successful applicants will receive subsidies of 75% of unit costs for up to four units related to the eligible courses listed. HETI Higher Education will determine the number of funded units to be allocated per applicant. This decision making is final and will be decided on the basis of review across all applications.

GP Scholarships

The Mental Health Portfolio of the Health Education and Training Institute (HETI), on behalf of the NSW Ministry of Health, will offer a number of Scholarships to study in the postgraduate Psychiatric Medicine program for General Practitioners in Semester 2, 2018.
